Default Tweety birds colour

I don't know if this is just aging edit (not needed) but tweety has been loosing her colour when we got her/him he/her was a bright blue colour now he's or she's mostly grey sorry about the reused photo

While this photo isn't the best for an accurate assessment of colour mutation and gender, it seems Tweety's cere is brown in colour, if so then she is a girl. When out of breeding condition, her cere should be mainly whitish in colour.

I think your Tweety is mauve in colour (mauve normal budgie). The mites aren't able to change the colour on the plumage and make it darker.
Most likely the change in colour you have noticed was when she had her first moult. Generally speaking, the baby plumage (prior to moult) has a lighter and duller colour. As the budgie moults, the new feathers will have a richer, more intense and defined (darker) colour.
I hope your Tweety will soon be free of the mites for good.

To me the cheek patches look blue/grey rather than violet which would mean it was a Grey rather than Mauve budgie. It might just be the colours on my screen though! If the tail is black then it is Grey, if the tail is dark blue then it is Mauve as Aluz suggested.
