Default New budgie- mutation(Split to blue?)

Bubu is my new female budgie! She is adorable!

i would like to ask you about her age and mutation...

i assume that she is very young and before her first molt...

In my opinion she looks like a normal light green opaline budgie!

Can anyone tell from the last photo if she is split to blue? Her vent area has some bluish feathers!(Pic5)

all photos are taken in natural light except from the 3.

thank you!

Congratulations on your new budgie! Looking at her I'd say she is fresh from turning 3 months old.
I agree with you on Bubu's colour mutation. She is likely split to blue, yes.

On the second photo, I notice there is a rope toy. In order to prevent a potential accident, it would be best for your to trim the loose ends so that your budgie doesn't get a foot or toenail caught into the fabric. If your budgie happens to chew on the material, then taking the rope toy out and replace it for a different type of toy would be the best thing to do. https://talkbudgies.com/your-budgies-...eled-toys.html

I hope you will be following quarantine procedures for your new budgie, I see your Jerry is currently housed with Bubu and that is not recommended yet: https://talkbudgies.com/new-budgie-ar...necessary.html

thank you so much Aluz!!!

i will trim the toys edges immediately!!!

As for the quarantine i haven't followed the typical way to have the birds apart ...in my place!

Bubu was bought by my father in the last month(almost 40 days ago) and he kept her in his house until yesterday...

i think that she is healthy! she is so playful
