it's been so long since I've posted here, been so busy with collage and my graduation project, hope everyone is doing ok,
I want to know the mutation of the pied male in the front
, first I thought he is a df pied, but he gave me normal chick when I aired him with a sf pied female, the color on the rump is cobalt I think but diluted, and he has no markings whatsoever, even the markings around his neck is of his body color
I should add that he also gave me a female exactly like him, also when I bred his mate with his brother they gave me a FBGW if it helps,
Usually the ceres of double factor dominant pieds will have a patchy appearance and in this case the cere has a uniform pinkish colour which is more characteristic of a recessive pied budgie.
From the second photo, it seems there is some iris development on the eye and if that is the case, then I'd say he is a combination pied budgie.
Looking at the markings from the first photo, he looks cinnamon to me.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
Thanks Anna, he is definitely not a cinnamon, his parents are not visual cinnamons, the marking color actually is faint diluted cobalt like the rump, but being combination pied must be true as his mother is recessive pied and his father is sf pied split recessive.
