Default blue vs violet

I'm try to figure out what color of blue my male is. He definitely isn't plain sky blue and he isn't as dark/bright as a cobalt. This has me thinking he is a sky sf violet?
The pics don't really show the violet ting but when compared to the other blues he was caged with at the store, he was clearly different with a slight lavender tint.
Not sure how much the opalin affects the overall color. If you look at he neck where the blue and white come together, you can see some of the violet.

I can get pics with flash if that might help

Hi Gail...what a handsome little guy he is. I am far from a mutation expert but he does indeed look like a sky blue, violet factored, normal, maybe opaline as i see color in wing's. I am not sure on gender either as a darker pink/purple is more common on young males but that does appear to be a nice even coloring. Maybe some of our expert's can say for sure...absolutely beautiful....

You're absolutely right, he's a sky blue opaline violet budgie

I can't tell from the photos if he's single or double factor violet, but I'm leaning more towards double factor.

What a handsome guy!

Thank you for the info. Genetics have always interested me but I always question my assessments.

His color changes so much depending on lighting. Last night in dim lighting, he looked periwinkle. I'll have to try and get better pics in different types of lighting.
