Default pink cere and he's a dom pied?

Blossom (named him when i first got him thinking pink was female) now im alot more brushed up on my skills
But i know he is indeed a he and isn't a young budgie.. i was first told he was a ressecive pied.. which i though was true

But after a close up pic i was told he was a double factor dominant pied.. as he has iris rings.. i learnt mutations and think he is a double factor dom..
se his iris rings

But he has both features Iris rings so he must be a double factor dom pied
But he also has a translusant pink cere and that shows a male ressecive pied?

I thought dom pieds have the normal blue cere..
lol, just wondering why he has a pink cere at the age of around 4ish? so it should be blue now if he is dom pied? shurely

Your bird is definately dominant pied

It is quite common for an adult double factor dominant pied male to have a pink cere but most will have a blue cere

Have you bred from him? Breeding results would prove his mutation because a double factor dominant pied mated to a normal would produce 100% single factor dominant pied chicks

Combinations of pied types are also very common and are often difficult to identify

Okay, I thought it was the recessive pieds that have that. If that is so my Baby Boy could be a double factor dominant pied instead of recessive? He has a pink blue cere, but so far no iris ring that I can see. Though he is around 1 now.

he sound like a ressecive pied as at around one his iris ring should be visable maybe starting to come through but you should be able to see it
an nev said that dom pieds do sometimes have that cere.. i thought it was just ressecive pieds to

If you mean the bird in your signature he looks like a recessive pied
