Hey guys,

what's the mutation of these lovely boys "I'm thinking greywings!!" and their parents? both are brothers from different clutches, the left one is older,

The parents are the pieds.

They're all gorgeous!

Both the parents look to be full body greywings, the mother is sky blue sf dominant pied FBG and the father is light green sf dom. pied FBG.

The chicks, therefore, are sky-blue YF II FBG (Dad must have been carrying the gene) and light green FBG.

They are all beautiful birds!!

Thanks a lot, but I have one more question,

Per Al-nasser website he wrote that "These full-bodied colour Greywings are split for Clearwing but cannot be split for Dilutes.

If a full-bodied colour Greywing is paired to a Dilute then the results will be 50% Greywings and 50% Clearwings all split for Dilutes. However, if a full bodied colour Greywing is paired to either a Greywing or a Clearwing then the results will be 50% full bodied colour Greywings and 50% Greywings (or Clearwings)."

But what's the results of two FBGW breeding and the results of FBGW Breeding with a normal??

FBGW is caused by incomplete dominance between the greywing and clearwing mutations, so two FBGWs would result in 50% FBGWs, 25% greywings, and 25% clearwings.

A normal with a FBG (provided the normal wouldn't be split for any of these mutations) is all normals because the normal mutations are dominant to both greywing and clearwing.

yeah I know that, I meant to ask about the split part, if a FBGW paired to a normal the chicks will either be split to clearwing or greywing since a bird can't be split to both, am I right?

and I really really appreciate your help and effort.

Right, the genes are on the same locus so 50% will be split for greywing and 50% will be split for clearwing

Default what is the mutation of this female?

Hey guys

sorry for making two threads about mutations in a row, please merge this thread with my other one if possible

I would like to know the mutation of the hen in the attachments below, she is one of the sisters of these boys (which were identified as FBGW) in my other thread

her colors are much stronger than both of them, could she be a clearwing?? since both of the parents are FBGWs.

I tried to take a picture of her next to a normal to ease identifying her.

I can't give any input for her gender but, does she always carry her left wing like that?
