Default Mutations?

Hello!

I have been reading about mutations, since I find it very interesting. I'm curious what the mutations of my 2 eggs are. Just out of curiosity, I'm kind of lost when trying to figure it out myself, haha

Here are some pictures of their backs:

Here are some pictures of their fronts:

And on another note, the male (Jimmy) used to have little purple/blue cheeks when he was young. He is going through his first major molt, and he seems to have lost them. Will they come back? These 3 photo illustrate how it has changed:

Thanks for taking time to look at them for me

Hello Fenne, I’m not the best with mutations, but I’ll take a stab at it. One of our mutations ‘experts’ can correct me if I’m wrong. I’m at least some of the way right .

Jimmy - sky blue, opaline, full body greywing, guessing with some dominant pied (the one white cheek patch in a pied area). You ask will it go back to colored, I don’t know, but I wouldn’t think his adult markings would change enough to affect it?

Jimmy - violet sky blue, opaline, greywing.

Okay, someone will come along soon to confirm this . One thing I do know for sure, is that they are 100% beautiful and adorable!

It is not easy to see Jimmy's wing markings but I am thinking he is a skyblue greywing spangle opaline. It looks like he has switched to silver cheek patches, which is possible for a spangle also. I'm not sure if he will get blue ones back again, probably not now he is in adult plumage.

The other is also a greywing opaline, body colour is skyblue violet or cobalt violet.
