He's adorable - he's definitely grey dominant pied, but he seems very pale to be normal even though his wing markings are very dark and don't look opaline. Do you have another photo of his wings?

What's his name?

As soon as I saw him I thought of Sterling for his name. Other than kicking all his seeds out of the food dish before I added the dish cover, he is settling in just fine. Eating and drinking & Playing with toys and singing, as he can probably hear my flock a few rooms away. Iíve been looking at for a gray one and he was too cute, so home he came. His markings are a little unusual from my others, so I was curious on what mutation he is. Thanks for responding

His wing markings are definitely strange, but I'd say that he's opaline. The opaline markings just aren't as well defined as they normally would be.

He's precious Sterling is the perfect name for him!

That’s interesting about the black markings that look a little different from normal. I think it’s something that will go away with the juvenile molt, and most likely will have the usual look.

Definitely a grey opaline dominant pied. As he moults into adult plumage the dark wings will lighten to more like the usual opaline. You get the occasional opaline that looks almost like a normal as the markings are so heavy, but they moult out to more like expected.
