Question Mutations

I have this one budgie that is a lot more colorful and different from my other birds. I've looked at budgie mutations but was never very sure of what mutations he has exactly. He's yellow and light blue mix when his brother seems to be a common blue budgie.
And if you can, are you able to tell me the mutations of my other birds but I think I know that their mutations are common. One of my newer bird looks like the wild budgies and my other is grey. Thank you.

We can certainly help with that! We just need some nice clear pictures of your birds. The more pics, the better. Front, back and sides

One of our mutations experts can advise you with regard to the mutations of your budgies.

Mango is female.

Cobbler is also female.

Cookie is male.

From what I can see in the pictures, it appears that Pickles is also male.

As you have mixed genders and need to be sure you are doing everything necessary to discourage breeding.

A Heartfelt Plea to All Members

Rearranging their cage frequently and limiting the light they get to 8 hours a day will help tremendously. Please be sure you never put a nest box or anything (such as a coconut shell, etc.) that could be used as a nesting site in their cage.

When they come into condition, limit the amount of protein in their diet at that time.

They're adorable! I agree with FaeryBee regarding their genders. Mango is a light green opaline budgie, Cobbler is a normal mauve budgie, Cookie is a cobalt single factor violet normal budgie, and Pickles looks like a cobalt yellow face II spangle budgie!
