That's actually plausible -- but what a shade of cinnamon!

I have to say, I'm intrigued.

Is that even possible? That sounds a little creepy.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I was sitting here staring at the pictures going ".. If this is real, I want one."

At first I really, really thought it was photoshopped... But the more I look at the pictures, the less likely it seems. It looks legit.

i doubt a defective gene, as they are older birds
but maybe a further mutation of the genetics behind cinnamon?
(i love cinnamons)
our genetic wiz's need to SEE this

as to injections in the egg......possible....but improbable.........
what would be the point?

and color bleaching the wings..... that would have damaged the feathers right?
or killed the birds
and those birds look healthy

luisa, do you think you can get more?
have you bred them yet?

wheres NEV or DEAN!

well injecting the eggs with dye will turn the bird the color of the dye , but only untill the first few molts so i doubt it.
Bleaching the wings would kill the birds ( because of the smell and preening)
But the further cinnimon gene i think is a possible , maybe one that has been 'unlocked' till this point
