What type are my budgies
Hey I don't know what my birds colours are called can someone give me some info?
https://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a...DSC00029-1.jpgBlueberry (deceased) https://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a.../applych-1.jpg Lychee and Apple https://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a...se/lemon-1.jpg Lemon https://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a...DSC00068-1.jpg lychee after a bath (its just cute hehe) Is it true that you wont know what sex they are until one year old? Is there any other way to tell from a young age? I found females bite more is that right? Which budgies talk males or females? Do they whistle there words? I'm trying to teach my birds to sing fur elise is it possible for them to learn it do you think? Sorry for the load of questions but they just came to me. |
I've always heard that:
*females bite harder than males *males are bigger talkers than females - they can whistle - and when they learn to talk, they will sound a bit like you (mine had a southern drawl) :D * they can learn to sing Just takes time and patience. Good luck. :) |
do u know what colours my budgies are?

No, I'm not good with mutations. I don't understand genetics. Gives me a headache. Other members should be coming on soon. They'll be glad to offer you help. :)

Blueberry was a dominant pied
Lychee is a normal grey Apple is a normal dark green Lemon looks like a yellow face recessive pied but the picture is a bit small to be sure Experienced breeders can tell the sex of young budgies as soon as they leave the nest and often even before that. Both males and females can learn to imitate the human voice but the males are usually easier to teach. It is usually better to keep a bird on it's own if you are trying to teach it to talk |
thanks for that I will try and get better pics I have a pic of Lemon when she just had a bath so you can see her more easily. I want to teach them fur elise not the full length of it but some, which is the best way to to it? do you think they could learn it and how would I go about it?
its prob not the best pic of Lychee but he is light blue and looking at its back its darker blue there and the tail feathers are blue and black so would that mean he or she is a different type? |
