Default Different cheek spots..

I've had tweety for over 6 months now.

She's 2 and a half years old..

Yet only just today I noticed something weird.

She has 2 different faces!!!

1 side has a bleu cheek spot and a few black speckles..
and the other side has a white cheek spot and no black speckles??

how is this possible?

This is normal
Some budgies have different patches on each cheek , this difference maybe mild such as a color or shape change or as big as a size change.

yeah im real lucky with her...

shes active...
a great mom..
great looking babys..

AND she has something special
not bad for a free budgie xD

i dont really think its normal..
non of the dutch people on the forums so far have ever seen it like this.
its not just the cheek spots..
but also the black speckless that are missing on 1 side..

hi there,

she is a pied and pieds can have normal coloured or white cheek patches, of one of each. they also can have the normal amount of spots or none or anything in between. it is part of the varieties characteristics.

very cute though!

She is pied, if the pied portion covers part of her face then it will obliterate the necklace spots.

She's an American budgie so there is no telling what all she is split for - thus the reason for 2 different colored flashings.
