Question What would the chicks look like?

What would a male (blue) clearwing and a normal violet female's chicks look like?

Can you post pictures so we can be sure you have the mutations right?
Clearwing is a mutation that many people get wrong when they are assessing a budgies mutation and it is often confused with clearflight which is inherited quite diferently

Clearwing is a recessive mutation so you would only get clearwing chicks if the female has a clearwing gene. Violet is a dominant mutation so 50% of the chicks will inherit violet if your violet is single factor.

Depending on the dark factor of the birds you could get 3 shades of blue and violet

well if she is mauve, and he is sky blue, you will have 100% cobalt chicks,
half would be violet if mums SF all if DF
and all chicks would be split for clearwing, unless mum is also split then half would be
so basically 50% normal cobalts, 50% SF violet cobalts.
