Default What is this color?

Well, the 'new bird' looks light gray to the naked eye, but in almost all pictures she looks light blue.

Blue Budgies: The Blue Budgie comes in three shades: Sky Blue, Cobalt Blue and Mauve. The mauve might be mistaken for a grey bird, but mauves have dark blue cheek patches and tails, while grays have silver cheek patches and black tails.

Checking, brb...

I guess the camera reveals the truth...

While the front looks gray, and the cheek spots looks gray, the back, under the wings is def. light blue...

check the cheel patches... they will be violet if she is a mauve - similar to any other blue bird. if she is a grey they will be either grey or a lighter blue colour.

she looks blue in the photo but the cheek patches look like a grey to me. maybe a greywing dominant pied too but it is hard to tell without a photo of her wing markings...

Opaline dominant pied grey female (might also be greywing if the wing markings are as light as they appear in some of the photos)
