Default Could someone explain the breed terminology to me?

I hear a lot of "recessive pied", and "spangle" and etc.

Would someone be able to explain the breed/color terminology to me? I assume recessive pied means pastel colors (so a recessive genome).... but other than that it would be nice to have an explanation! Haha.

I agree it would be nice to have a list of all these terms that anyone could understand. I know there are stickies on this stuff but I only understand bits and pieces...

Great site! I'll have to go back and read things more carefully, but Its more understandable. Its set up similarly to the sticky in the breeding section, (which is quite good btw,) but this site has pictures and more types. I now want a crested budgie! I didn't know they existed!
