Question Black Spots?

Are all budgie suppose to have them? I've had at least 3 clutches this year and none of them had spots is it a mutation thing?

Yes. It's a mutation. Some have blue, purple. brown, black, or white spots. It depends on what type of mutations you were breeding.

hi there,

yes it does depend on the variety. you can have black, brown or grey spots (not blue or purple or white though...)

some varieties often have no spots or only partial spots. what varieties are yours?
