Default Opaline??

Like the title says I am just starting to understand a few of the mutations... I got wondering about my male bird Beau. Is he an opaline?? These pix I have were taken when I first got him in Nov 09 ... except the last pic which was taken Dec 09 ago.

I was taking the pic to show what his flights looked liked as his wings were clipped in the last pix and I just noticed his wing feathers have a very thin white edge to them... Is this a normal coloring on wings? Wing pic just taken a few minutes ago.

You are correct. He is a very pretty opaline boy. He looks like one of my chicks. I would say he's a blue series probably a mauve with grey factor.

He looks grey with a purpley ( that is a word in MY world...lol) tint to him... he photographs with bright blue patches...however these are not visible when looking at him. He was lighter looking in those pix and now as an adult is slightly darker in color.. but with his cage where it is and the window behind him I cannot get a decent shot of him.
