I have seen people talking about Pied Budgies but I don't know what they are, can anyone help me? Thank you!

Hi Rachel there are mainly now only two kinds of pieds to be found , the dominant and the recessive,https://www.officialbarrieshuttbudger...smutations.htm

Scroll down this link and you will visually see the differences.

After moulting into their adult feathers the dominant will show white iris rings where as the recessive will not.

The dominant will have a patch on the back of the head the same colour as its body.

Think varigated , a miss mash of colours .........check out the link .......let me know if you need more help

A pied budgie is a budgie with 2 different colors with patterns which is caused by co-dominant genes/alles.
There are 3 types of pieds... Recessive , Dominant and Clearflight.

here is a Recessive.

There are more than three kinds stacey but it is not often we see the others, frosted, banded, danish

i though banded and danish were other names for the dominant and recessives?

i am interested in frosted... are they a completely separate variety or a variation on a dominant pied?
