Default Iris ring question

I know all birds develop differently

but I would think a bird born February 16,2010 would have very noticeable Light iris rings by now when she is NOT visually recessive pied

But I have one - Kirara to be exact That I have to look very very very hard at her eyes to see her Iris rings, They are there but are very hard to see if the lights not hitting right you don't see anything but a little black beady eye looking back at you even with a LED flash light it is almost impossible to see them

If you were to try to tell her age by them it would be like this picture

Very Dark Grey Irises (4-6 months)
She is not visually Recessive pied, she is Clear Flight pied

I've had some birds I couldn't see their iris ring well by looking at them in person but they always showed up very well in pictures - I don't have a single picture of her that they show up in, every one looks like she has none at all

So I'm wondering if perhaps that could be a sign she's split to recessive pied?

I only bred her parents twice - She came from the 2nd clutch, Her older Brother Gabriel Came from the 1st Clutch - He's bred in the past I've kept 1 of his babies which is Kaylee and She looks like she has recessive pied in her visually

so I'm thinking IF Kirara is split to it, then most likely Gabriel is as well

Kirara has 5 babies right now just hatching The dad is Split to recessive pied so if she is in fact split I'll know when the babies get a little older

but in the mean time I figured I'd ask and see if its a possibility

if its not then what else could cause her iris rings not to be Light - I have/had ones who are way younger than her and should NOT have light iris rings(because of their age) that have them

and not sure if it helps any but she also is most likely split to Grey wing - her mate is a full body grey wing their oldest 4 babies when born did not have the normal dark black eyes They were dark(not plum) but not like normal baby eyes they were prob. a shade or so lighter. BUT the 5th baby has the dark black eyes that most babies are born with

I've been told it could be due to them being recessive pied. but not sure how accurate that is to tell the mutations before they even feather- like you can with Red eyes or Plum eyes

Thank you

I know i remember hearing before that a "normal" that had NO iris rings could be split to recessive pied

she has them you just can't really see them what so ever

this is one of the best pics I have of her eye and you can't see nothing - specially when you compare her eye to bubblegums eye they both should like his lol

but here's an 8 month old that you can see just fine lol

Time will tell now i can't wait for their babies to feather up even more now - before it was to see if the lighter dark eyes meant they were Grey wing or not , now its to see if mama is split to Recessive pied to help me out with her Niece lol
