Default Could someone please tell me what sort of budgie I have?

Hi
I have an 1.5 yr old budgie called Alfie. I am still puzzled as to exactly what sort of type he is-some of the info I have seen is bit confusing. Would someone be able to let me know what they think from these pics? Thank you so much! I am assuming he is a male as that is what I was told-his cere isn't as blue as some I've seen but could that be due to his breed?

A cobalt recessive pied spangle. You have a charming male there.

this.

And he is indeed male. Recessive pied males don't get the bright blue cere's. They stay a pink/purple.

I agree with Jimm V on color

For the sex though it looks more female to me, since male recessive pieds normally have pink/purple ceres at adult hood. If you post some more pics that are taken in natural lighting and from the front that would help to know for sure.

He is beautiful!
