Default Chick colouring

My last clutch of chicks from my cinn skyblue cock split lacewing to opaline lacewing hen produced 6 chicks, 2 lacewings one yellow one white - the yellow unfortunatly died 2 days after the cock bird did, this has led me to hand-rear the 3 youngest chicks as they were not getting fed by the hen.

Now the two oldest in the box are both cinnamon blues, one has light suffusion like the oldest I am hand-rearing which I will get to in a minute.

The youngest is the white lacewing then the second youngest looks to be another cinnamon skyblue, the oldest I am hand-rearnig I thought was a cinnamon skyblue but it has strange colouring on the feathers. As the feather is growing the very tips are white, then a deep purple then blue some have blacks flecks right in the centre - this is on te back of the bird down the rump, on the chest there is also a lighter purple on the ends of the feathers. The second oldest still in the box has a light purple on the ends of the feathers as well but not to the same extent.

I originally thought it could be stress marks but as the second oldest I have not had to hand-rear and none of the other hand-reared chicks have it I am not sure then I though violet but I have never seen this before in any of my Violets or indeed any of my birds, I have checked the skyblue from the round before and no strange colouring there.

The pictures aren't the best as it won't focus very well on the colouring, where it looks grey it is actually a deep purple:

I can't explain the why of this, but it must be a beautiful bird in real life. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will give us the reason.

Looks like a Cobalt Violet To me - with the cinnamon it lightens the body color so it wouldn't be the Dark color of a normal Non Cinnamon Cobalt Violet the greyish lines going side to side(right/left) will go away as the baby grows up - they are stress marks and they go away as they molt , I had 2 budgies given to me a while back one had it so bad its entire top chest looked Light Grey - it looked like the Wing and head bars didn't stop on the back but came all the way around once he molted they were gone.

They aren't grey markings, they look grey in the pictures but as I said they are a deep purple.so white tips deep purple then skyblue, some have a black fleck in the centre of the feather.

It is not stress marks, one of my older chicks also has this but not as deep. I have been told by a more experienced breeder it is barring that is common in cinnamons and will go away with the moult.

I am keeping them updated when the chicks in question moult out.
