too dark for cobalt, to bright for mauve - violet?

I just got Pigwidgeon a few days ago, but he's already taking millet from a spray with me holding it with my very still hand. :D

He is going through his first molt, and I think I can safely say that he is Yellowface II, not I! He is going to be so pretty! :p Before he turns green though, I'd like to know exactly what shade of blue he is. He seems too dark for cobalt and too bright for mauve. Looking at him closely today I think he has one degree of violet. It's hard to see in pictures, (you can't even see the few green feathers he has so far) but what do people think? Is he cobalt violet or mauve violet or neither?

You can kind of see the violet around his legs in this picture taken a couple of days ago:

And around his neck in this very blurry picture:

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to see some of the color range in his back and rump here, but in person I can see flecks of violet and green:

Yesterday he had just a couple of green feathers on his breast -- enough so that I thought I might have been imagining them. I left him alone for a couple of hours this morning, and suddenly he has a LOT more green feathers and his face spots have opened up a lot more.

Violet cobalt. Thank you! I thought he was a type yellowface type I at first, but the yellow wouldn't affect his body in that case, would it? I can't wait to see what color he ends up as when he's done molting. :)

This 3-month-old budgie is a single factor normal yellow-faced type 2nd.
I had it like this in early 1990s, I named it "Brett Magic" the word "Magic" is because it changed its colours.
