Default Violet factor confusion...

We all know that the true violet is a cobalt blue with one or two violet factors!

According to this photo

the mauve violet looks like the true violet!

Smile violet factor

You must take the yellow/golden face into consideration with the the body color as it will change the blue color and produce green to various degrees. It may be considered a fault on the show bench if too much yellow bleeds into body color.

I agree that violets are confusing. there is one budgie at the store that is a rec pied that came in with a bunch of skies, but he is CLEARLY a light purple. not even dark like mauve, its like a perfect light purple that is not even close to sky when he sits next to the other skies.

I got some violets and now I learned that they are cobalt and the genetic form too.
