Firstly Kody is a very sweet little boy. Secondly, I recommend you leave him alone in his cage for a minimum of two weeks before you start to put your hand in the cage again. This way he can settle into his new surroundings. New budgies, can often seem like they are tame straight away but this is because they are scared and can be very submissive the first few days of being home. In the meantime you can sit by his cage and talk to him and get him used to having your hand near the cage.

Ava,

Kody is precious and is a very young little budgie boy.

Did you get him from a breeder? Is he eating fine on his own?

What a beautiful little budgie boy!

I agree that it's important to give him a bit to settle in; additionally he looks very, very young. Do you know his age?
