Default and that makes two!!

When I brought my little white girl(Luna)home last night, first thing DH did was ask why I didn't get two.
I explained that I wanted to tame her first then I'd get her a friend but the more I thought about it, the more I thought it would be better to do it now.

This way I won't have to deal with introducing two strange birds or set up a second quarantine cage since I went back to the same pet store I got Luna at and got a friend she already knew.

So here is addition #2, he is more lavender in person and is absolutely terrified. Luna is quite happy to see me walk in the room and ok with me being close to the cage and getting inside to adjust toys or add food. This new guy panics and bounces around the cage if I get closer then 3 feet and starts panting.

Hopefully he settles in quickly. At the store he was very outgoing and active, running around like crazy and visiting with all the other birds.

On a side note, Luna ate a little today, sang for a few minutes and fiddled with a toy.

It would be a good idea to cover the top and three sides of the cage to give the budgies time to settle into their new environment.

This little budgie looks to be pretty young and the change in surroundings is sure to have him/her quite stressed and traumatized for a few days.

What a precious little guy! He's gorgeous, and I'm sure he'll settle in soon. Congrats!

Yes, he is very young, still has a bit of black on his beak. Luna is young too, all the budgies from that store were young babies.

I have the back and part of both sides are covered. They seem a little leary of the cover so I didn't want to cover too much.
