Hello everyone! I am very excited to introduce my new babies. I haven't picked out names yet because I do not know their genders. Also with these yellow parakeets how can I get a rough idea of age?

https://imgur.com/a/RemnJ

I was wondering what everyone used to clean there babies cages with? What is safe to use?

Does anyone give there babies vitamins? I was wondering what is everyone opinions on doing so and if they recommend it for a healthy keet?

Hi! to Talk Budgies

Your two little boys are very cute.
Did you get them from a breeder or from a pet-store? That will give me a better indication of their approximate age.

I've merged your three threads into one.

You can clean your budgies' cage with undiluted white vinegar.
Other information about safe cleaning products can be found in this thread:
https://www.talkbudgies.com/articles-...t-control.html

When birds are given a healthy diet, they generally do not need any additional vitamins other than Vitamin D3.

Please read the information in the links below:

Hello and thank you so much for the help! So now I know my babies are both boys I can thinking of names! I got them both this last Saturday at Petco the manager didn't know when they hatched all she knew was that they arrive in the store the previous day!

Here is another picture of my new boys as a test to uploading!

Since you got the budgies at Petco, they are most likely approximately 12 weeks old.

You managed to upload a link, but what you want to use to get the actual picture to show is the link under the heading
"BBCode (message boards & forums)"
It shows as the fifth link down in the column when you click on the picture in Imgur and choose "show shared links".

(Cute pictures, by the way!)

I'd recommend replacing the wooden dowel perch(es) with natural wood perches of varying diameters to help prevent pressure sores.

Hello and

Lutinos are such a gorgeous yellow, aren't they! I love my little lutino budgie. You have been given good advice above. I second the recommendation to read the stickies and articles. I have been reading on here for several months and am still learning. Best of luck to you and your two new companions!
