Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here, just wanted to post an update. My original 5 adopted budgies are doing well, and I think I've finally found a combination that suits everyone. Bobby and Betty (veryyyyy bonded pair) are now in a cage together on their own. Monk, Goose and Racket are doing well together, get along great, and no one seems to be the victim of any more bullying.
About a month ago, I ended up adopting a 10 year old Lutino Ringneck Parakeet, who was not in a very good place and seemed to have been abused.
Even more recently, (about a week agoafter a trip to Petco for some supplies, I saw an adorable little white budgie in the corner with an injured cere, torn tail feathers, and very dirty. After talking with one of the employees, they decided to just give her to me. When they took her out, another baby that was standing near her started pacing and chirping loudly. They seemed to be close and were not very happy about being separated, so I brought her home too. Meet Luna and Duckie.
I will try to get better pictures of them, right now this is all I have. You can sort of see the injury where Luna's nostril appears to have been torn vertically. The vet says that it appears to be an older injury and is healing nicely. It will most likely never close, but other than that, she is healthy and doing well.
