Default We Adpoted A new Baby

We got a call from the local small pet store long story short we just adopted this baby Budgie it was given to us

A few questions If you can help?

What mutation is this one?

We were told it is a boy and about 6 months old? Would that be what you also think by the pictures??

Where can I get this grass stuff that he loves?? (see pic)

he was spoiled as the previous owner really loved on him He is very friendly loves to be out and likes attention so we are happy

this was a total surprise and this bird easy going and loves attention and HE LOVES ROUDYBUSH!!

Congratulations on your new little friend!

Have you named him yet?

He is a very handsome fellow.
I can't tell how exactly how old he is from the pictures but the stripes on his head indicate he's already been through his first full molt which would generally take place at around 3 - 4 months.
Have his his iris ring developed fully at this point in time?
I would say your estimation of about 6 months old is fairly accurate.

Default Name

We named him Scooby.

We think he is about 15 weeks old? Hard to tell his eyes to me look dark. This Baby is the friendliest Budgie I have ever seen! He sings, talks steps up and loves being out. We adopted him from someone that needed to re-home him.

Here are a couple of pictures that hopefully will help determine his age.

He's very handsome, he is the same mutation as the first budgie I ever had, I can't see any iris ring but even in person they can be hard to see unless you are up really close.

It is hard to see his iris ring I think there is one there but it is tough to see.

Scooby is a great name and he is just as cute as can be.
I'm sure he's going to need his own on-going picture thread made in the Budgie's Pictures section of the forum so we can see lots of him as time goes by!
