Default My Other Funny Looking Children

So I've been posting a lot about the two new budgies that I got, but I also wanted to share a bit about some of my other pets. We live on a small acreage on the outskirts of town that is a great place for pets.
We have two standard poodles, Faith and Bella. Faith has always acted like a sweet, laid back old lady since we got her as a puppy. She's a giant attention hog and will slowly push her way to the front to steal any affection anyone else is getting. Bella, on the other hand, is pretty hyper. She enjoys running around, playing catch, and starts barking excitedly when she hears the word, "outside".
We have three cats, one indoor cat and two outdoor. Sophie is the indoor cat, and I call her the spawn of Satan in the most affectionate way possible. If she's comfortable and you so much as twitch your foot the wrong way, she'll start hissing at you. She also is more likely to bite you than cuddle with you, but undoubtedly every time she wants to cuddle with me, I have to be leaving the house in about ten minutes. She's also a breed that has a bob tail, and people's initial reactions to seeing her stubby tail are generally pretty funny. The two barn cats aren't your typical outdoor cats, since they're actually extremely friendly, up to date on their vaccines, and have been neutered. Their names are Levi and Artemis, and they're brothers. Levi is the friendlier one, but Artemis enjoys attention as well. Their favorite place to hang out right now is the garage my car is parked in, where they have a heated cat house as well as their food and water.
Earlier this fall/winter, we rescued two miniature donkeys. Boomer is around 5 years old, and is definitely the more outgoing one. He had a great home before we got him, but his owner was moving and couldn't keep him. You have to watch him somewhat carefully though, because sometimes in his search for treats he likes to nibble on you. Hammer is the other one, and he's around 20 years old. He's a bit more timid, and came from a much harder background. He was kept on a farm with a bunch of ponies, though the ponies weren't found by the rescue, and he had four daughters that were mules. Most of them hadn't had their feet trimmed in so long that their hooves literally curled around like a cork screw, and they could barely walk. His feet were the best off out of them all, thankfully. His youngest daughter had never been touched by a human in her 5 years of life. He's gotten used to us, thankfully, and with patience he'll come up to let you pet him, as long as Boomer doesn't butt in and steal the attention.
I also have a corn snake named Silphus. He's a little over a year old, and is absolutely beautiful and is such a sweet heart. He likes to stick his head out of his rock hiding area when I'm in my room to watch what I'm doing. I also have a ball python that we've paid for, but unfortunately it has been too cold to have her shipped safely to me. I'm planning on naming her Hawke when she gets here.
I also have a couple of fish tanks. The 55 gallon tank in the dining room houses our Jack Dempsey (creatively named Jack) and a plecostomus that I have affectionately dubbed Ninja because of his hiding abilities. In my room I have a ten gallon tank with a betta named Dragon and two otos. One is named Speckles and the other I haven't managed to find the right name yet.
All of these wonderful pets bring so much joy to me each and every day, and I wanted to share a bit of that.

Wow, I would love to have a miniature donkey. What size do they grow to? You certainly have a quite diverse mix of pets.
Would love to see some pictures if possible of the donkeys. Of course if they would be frightened I understand.
I have heard of bobtail cats before but never seen one in life. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful story with us all here.

Wow, I see you have quite the mini zoo there! And it's great you have managed to take in the donkeys.

I would also like to see some pics of your furry and aquatic friends, if you manage to take a few!

Dakota,

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of all of your babies!

I adore miniature donkeys and think it is totally cool that you have the acreage to have two rescues.

That has long been my dream -- to have the space and funds to rescue animals and let them life out their lives in comfort and happiness.

There is a special place in heaven for people like you!

Wow, Dakota, you certainly have a lovely assortment of friends over there!

It's wonderful you're able to offer a loving forever home to your rescues, and it sounds like everyone is happy and healthy

I also am looking forward to pictures
