If you are colony breeding, no matter how bonded the pairs are, I can guarantee a less than honorable male has made a visit, and the parentage of any colony bred bird will be highly suspect

So if I understand your response, there is no guarantee that the split will ALWAYS be passed but rather it is a probability versus a guarantee. I have been told that the split will ALWAYS be passed...

Thanks for your reply. I understand the split theory but my question is will the birds that are supposed to be split always be split or is it just a theoretical probabililty?
