So Baby is 18 days old, and I think I see grey! Want to help me take a stab at what baby is mutation wise, or even gender? ;) I'm not holding my breath on gender, the cere is starting to turn pink but can't tell if there is white around the nares or not - the light keeps hitting it at an awkward angle..

Looks like dad is a either a double dominant pied or a mix of dominant pied and recessive pied. Does he have iris rings? His body color looks like mauve. Your female is an opaline, recessive pied, yellow face, sky blue. The chick is some sort of pied because of the clear wing feathers and pied spot. and I'm going to guess it's a cobalt blue, just because of the parents. We will have to see exactly what pied when it gets a bit bigger. Same goes with the gender. It looks like a female but it is really hard to tell from photos.

Thank you! And yes dad has iris rings. Am I right about the grey? Or will that go to a blue?

Ok so dad is double factor dominant pied. This means your chick is probably dominant pied. In order for the chick to be recessive pied your male would have to be split for it. As for the grey, I can't be sure if your male is single factor grey or not in the photo. If he is then your chick can also be tinted grey.
