Here's Zafu's bubs, still havent left the net yet.
Dad is visual green & yellow opaline, Dominant Pied
Mum is Spangle blue with yellow in places.

Here's the bubs. One looks almost a violet, and once looks
really sky blue with spangle AND opaline? Green bub looks
like dad, but maybe a YF2, looks at his blue/green belly!

Genders and not known yet. No flash. Close up mode. :budgie:

A vet hold, dont stress.

Spangle opaline?

Opaline clearwing cobalt..........opaline sky blue spangle ...............opaline dark green ..........very nice Tegan :)
I should have listened to my head.
I thought cobalt, cause the violet colour which I thought was
nothing like the violet on Grace's bubs, so figured cobalt?
I notices the opaline greywing spots, and also clearflight :D

Thought this one was opaline AND spangle :) And I can see its
sky blue, just like mumma :)

Now I know green opaline, but didnt think dark green.
the bub is very light in colour, and the belly shows some
light blue along with lime green feathers. Hence why I though
yf2 or something? :) Is he classed as any type of YF, or not becuase
he is infact green? :)

Thanks! Wish TB would let me give you more karma haha :p

Ok I thought also if only father is opaline, then all bubs are female.
Thats what happened with George & Grace. Well all opaline bubs are
female anyway.

I can see:

Light green opaline + Looks YF2 as blue on belly? Will that grow out or?
Cere looks deeper purple than others, looks male, but MUST be a hen.

Dom pied, Cobalt Spangle Opaline Hen.

Sky blue opaline spangle hen

WILL UPDATE tomorrow with photos from camera and not iPhone,
in breeding Journal :)

I'm confused on the whole opaline thing. I have a pair - Dad is a colbalt opaline and mum is an olive opaline. They had 4 chicks hatch, 1st was a lilac opaline and the other 3 dark green opalines. I have probably totally misunderstood this but if opaline is sex linked how can there be both male and female opalines and what are the possible sexes of this clutch?

So sorry Teegz for pinching your thread but as it doesn't take much to confuse me I thought I could ask the question
