Hi guys! New budgie owner, so please excuse my lack of knowledge. I had thought that Pippin was a normal sky blue when I got him. However, after his baby molt, his feathers on his back and the top of his tail have turned kind of a teal or dark blue/green. Is this just his particular version of sky blue or is there some mutation in there??

I've been trying to find a photo of my Ares..

This is the only one i can really find that shows up his 'green' tinges on the ends of his feathers etc

It looks pretty awesome in the right light, especially across the V part of his neck/back. Almost 'two tone', can't see it all that well since i used my flash but still, it helps my 'point' lol :)

He's a Normal Skyblue. The greenish tinge you observe is common in skyblues.
It appears greener when you take photos with flash on as well.
