How long has he not eaten? The cage the birds are in in the picture is dirty and in poor condition and the items being used as perches are not good. The cage bars are bent and in addition to being dirty it looks as if there may be some rust on the bars, birds will frequently chew on their cage bars and the condition that this cage is in is a threat to their health. For the birds to have the best life possible and to thrive they need to be provided with an optimal environment, please review this article that addresses the subject. Essentials to a Great Cage

Hi, Welcome to Talk Budgies!

The purpose of this forum is to promote the BEST PRACTICES in the care of budgies for their optimal health and well-being.

How long have you had these budgies?

The budgie's head may be too heavy for her to easily hold it up when she is resting.
This is one of the problems that occur when people try to breed budgies to make them larger than they should be.
This budgie should never be bred. She would pass on undesirable genetic traits to any offspring.

A heartfelt plea to forum members new and old

The cage you have looks to have rust on it, is much too small and needs to be replaced.
Rust can easily lead to heavy metal poisoning.

Lead and Zinc Toxicosis

I recommend you remove the perches in the cage and replace them with natural wooden perches of varying diameters to help prevent pressure sores.

The information in this link will give examples of better options for perches.
Additionally, I see no swings or toys in the birds' cage to enrich their mental and physical well-being.
