Are these pellets good?

The brand is fine but they may be too large, I cannot see the size of them.

Those might be 2mm granules, per this website: Lifetime Formula - Hari (scroll to the bottom).

They smell like bubble gum.

yeah they're the 2 mm ones, is that fine for budgies?

They could be the right size or they could be too big, it really depends on your bird. FWIW, the Oven Fresh Bites from Caitec marketed for budgies are the same size as these from Hagen, but that doesn't mean they are the right size for your bird. Again, they could be.

Some questions to ask yourself which may help determine whether to keep or return that bag: What kind of food does your budgie currently eat? Have you read through this forum's excellent diet and nutrition resources? How's your budgie respond to new foods? What kind of access do you have to other pellets? Can you afford these or other pellets?
