Aviator harness on budgie

736 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  FaeryBee
Hi! I've recently been thinking to get my budgie out, when it will get warmer. But I'm not sure about which method to use (absolutely no clipping her wings).

So, it's either the aviator harness; I've heard it is unfortunately not safe for budgies, since it can outweight them, they can end up all tangled and injured, and also not comfortable, but I've seen people use it.

Or some sort of transport cage( I've found some already).

I want some honest opinions, to help me decide which option is the best for my little girl, since I don't want her to suffer or feel uncomfortable in any way.

You should NEVER put a harness or a flight suit on a budgie. They are much too small and their bones are extremely fragile.

Get an appropriate cage and ensure she is very safely enclosed and under complete supervision the entire time you have her outdoors.

Best wishes!
