Hi All,

Some time back I may have noted that I got a great surprise of having 2 babies -both DF Spangles, but one each from the 2 base colors (white-and Yellow- series) ...this from a single nest?!

At first, I was surprised especially from getting a "yellow DF spangle", as I considered the mom...to be a "grey green" looking 'lightly-marked' Spangle bird, but thinking being "flushed clear" from the YF T2 factor...which proved to be incorrect, but the YF did exist ...only in the "yellow-series"...and the grey must have come from her dad ("grand-dad" of this post's babies) called "MilkyWay"..

These are a bit easier to guess the gene...but do try!

.albeit that this DFspangle (in yellow-series) isn't "all clear" (with grey added, I think) as the normal DF spangle will be ALL Yellow....

...similarly the DF Spangle (in white) do have the YF that shows in Face & wings!...this isn't called "creamino" (as in the Lutino, with Yellowface)...will there be a name for this "White DF spangle" with YF?

Enjoy

Sadly my "flight space are limited" and both I trust now have 'loving owners'!

Thx for your views...
