Hi everyone,
My sweet little Basil is 3 yrs old today. She crawled into my heart, when I was ready, after losing my 1st budgie named Bocci. Basil has lived longer than Bocci, despite her having medical issues. (a lot more than Bocci ever did).
I love her so much. We've become great friends and I love having her in my life. I love how she hangs upside down in her cage to say 'hello', her "I love you's, kisses and even kisses sound; her ability to know if I'm crying and wanting to be there to lick my tears, her hanging with her beak open on the cage bars waiting patiently to be taken out. I just love her!
I hope I can celebrate many more birthday's with her. I'm so happy she made it to today. (and so did I, despite things in my life too) We've both managed to hold and somehow keep going, even when things get difficult.
Here's a pic I took of her this morning!
