Hello all,

A fellow birder in North Royalton, Ohio had a budgie coming to her bird feeders. After many attempts at trying to capture it, she set out a bird cage and the bird freely went into the cage by itself. The bird appears rather tame. The woman who found it is unable to keep it as a pet for herself, and has been looking for the owners without success. If anyone has lost a budgie or knows anyone who has lost a budgie, please contact me. I informed her of the Talkbudgies forum and that I may be able to help find the owner. If we are unable to find the owner, she would like to find another home for the bird. The finder has the following request: "She needs to go to a good home where someone can teach her to talk and play with her and let her out of the cage, in the house of course!" I assured her that Talkbudgies is full of high-quality, loving homes :D.

Thanks so much for any help!

Below are some photos of this pretty bird:

What a beauty! I'm so glad she was found by someone knowledgeable who knew what to do, and will try to reunite her with her people or find a good home for her!

I'm sure she and Penry would get along well, but we don't live in the area....
Ideally, we'd like to find her owner, or if not then someone who can provide a safe and loving home to her.

I don't drive, my husband works overnights, his only days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, it's a 2hr drive both ways. We're going on the 3rd of May to a reptile thing and he MIGHT get a new snake...a carpet python or another ball python....I'm sure I can make a deal with him...ya know, like, "you got this snake, so I get another bird." I'd just need a cage....

Aww, man, I can see why you wanted her, she is so cute and sounds really sweet. It was so nice of you to offer to take her in. Hopefully you find another addition to add to your zoo :) Karma to you :)

My husband said the same thing. He said"Aww. I'm sorry, but I'm glad she found a good home" Our deal is still on lol. Our Ball Python isn't eating for us...which stinks...Tessaiga is a very sweet snake. I will gratefully rescue another Budgie...but I'd also like a handfed Budgie from a breeder...so maybe in the future I can give a budgie in need a good loving home.
