Sir Kensington!
Teach him lines from The King’s SpeechI think wife and I are settling on Bertie. Play on words with “birdie” and it was also the nickname of King George VI who saw England through WW II.
🙂
Love to see him flighted.Bertie flying toward his person…
Bertie making his way to my wife while she says “come here”
His hesitancy about things is adorable
It’s all about repetition and focus.Bertie just talking about Bertie things…
Any advice on getting him to actually talk? To say hello, pretty bird, good boy, give me a kiss, etc? These parrots apparently can talk…

Sounds like he’d be friends with HemiHe’s an adorably mischievous, sweet, and social bird! We all love him!
👍🏻Bertie having a wellness visit today at a local avian vet. Just because he’s new and wanted to get a baseline. All is well with him. 😊
I got one of these, my bird hates itNot yet. He’s still hesitant and trying to figure out what this thing is…but he now knows it can quench his thirst. I also let some tap water run down my fingers, and have the tip of my fingers near his beak. He started licking them taking in the water.
Any recommendations for a bird bath for medium-sized birds?
Noooooooooo*So…are you going to put a deposit on a baby? Everything I’ve read about these parrots has been accurate — easy going birds for the most part provided they are well raised.
They are all so smaller than I thought they’d be.
They’re doomedMan... he really owns the place, right![]()
He’s totally adorableBertie figuring out water is wet—in a pan. I guess it’s better than drinking water from my finger tips
I should probably consider this progress?
