So I just put a deposit on a 6 month old baby boy. Hand raised/fed and socialized since birth from a reputable breeder. Will get him after Thanksgiving. Scoured all over the US for one given how rare they are here.

I’ll post updates as I go along through this adoption process. 😊

Yes. Breeder is reputable and experienced with princess parakeets and the features/colors in the photos sent to me of the bird line up with a male.

I also asked for a male, so that would be bad business if I got a female instead.

I have no reason to doubt this breeder, either. 😊

Yeah was thinking maybe to also hold off and see what his personality is like. We’ll see!

Confirmed…flight booked by the breeder…the bird will “fly” here and arrive Saturday late afternoon where I’ll pick it up at the airport.

Well no new bird arrival today. Flight canceled because of severe weather. Waiting to hear from breeder new date. Oh well. Things happen. 🙂

Update: bird now scheduled to arrive tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed 🤞

Been rather stormy, heavy winds, and tornadoes out west.
