WOW, I just read the WHOLE thread! hahaha, I am so happy for Bertie and such and adorable fella, he looks so friendly.

It’s all about repetition and focus.
Make sure that he isn’t distracted by anything and repeat the word or phrase every few seconds for a minute or so.

do this several times a day. I try just in my normal course of handling

Yeah. That’s pretty much consistent with what I read. I’m hoping he’ll decide to talk.

Now that I’m off work for the holidays for a few days, I can spend some more time with him and the budgies.

Bertie loves company, being out of his cage, and anything he thinks is food.

I was in the dining room and he flew from the cage in the other room and joined me at the dining table. He then tried to help himself to some of MY PIE…😆. I took a quick pic before nudging him away.

we Just got it for him, and so far he seems to like it. I mean, he keeps playing with it so I think that’s a good thing? Let’s see if he can figure it out.
