I've always loved the dark eyed clears but as I'm learning more, is it possible to breed more from him or is it just from a cross? I have an albino hen and a pretty much lutino hen with a tiny trace of lacewing on her back. What would you guess I would get from breeding him with them?

Thanks so much!!! :p:budgie:

Considering that the hens aren't split for anything else and is masking normal,

You could get 50% Clearflight Pied and 50% Normal Chicks.

You will not get any Dark Eyed Clear, or Recessive Pied or Ino.

The males will be split to Ino (and Cinnamon if you breed the Lacewing hen).

If you breed a dark eyed clear to a recessive pied you could expect about 50% dark eyed clear chicks. Breeding a dark eyed clear to an albino or a lutino would produce some clearflight pied but anything else would be just pot luck because the ino mutation could be masking any other mutation

Many birds are incorrectly identified as dark eyed clear and when they are bred their true mutation shows in the chicks
