I don't plan on breeding my bubs ever, and I think they are both females anyway. But, I am curious as to what the offspring of two birds with their coloring would look. :)

If i am correct, they are both recessive pied...

Jazzy (left) Spark (right)

Tell me if you need more pictures.;)

I don't know what they would make, but they are too cute. I bet they would make a bunch of cute. :D

I hope people post pictures of what they think the babies would look like.

They are both recessive pied so the chicks will also be recessive pied

If Jazzy is not split for blue the chicks will be green series recessive pied like him

If Jazzy is split for blue the chicks will be half blue series & half green series

The only way that any thing different could appear would be if Jazzy was split for a sex-linked mutation or if they were both split for a dilute mutation but the chicks would still be recessive pied and it would combine with the other mutations

Nev already answered your question

but to me in the picture they both look like they're the same gender and they both look female to me.

Thanks, I think they are precious together too.:D

Okay, thanks nev, that's what I thought. It's just something I wondered about. :)

atvchick- Spark may or may not be a boy, I don't know. He certainly acts like one, and his bond with Jazzy is very strong. Two females usually don't get along, but it's possible. I bought them from the pet store because they were so close to eachother- inseperable:) -even with other males in the cage. And they are also in with a budgie that I know is a male.

The reality is I probably won't ever be able to breed this pair anyways, so I'm just going to say Spark is the boy, I'm sure he won't mind.:giggle: I simply was wondering what their babies would look like, even though they may not even be able to produce any.;)

Spark is a hen.

If Jazzy's cere is purply-pink, he's male; but if pale blue/whitish (like Spark), she's female.

What a cute couple! :)

Spark is definitely female. I assumed that Jazzy was the male because I couldn't see the cere properly. Atvchick is probably right and they are both female.

If you bought them together they are probably siblings
