I have two mated pairs, each in their own breeder cage, and I am just curious what peoples predictions are as to what their clutches might look like.

Here are my combinations:

type 1 yellowface violet **** and classic sky blue hen

type 1 yellowface sky blue dominant pied **** and a classic green hen (shes 1/4 english budgie, so she has the bold facial markings)

My hope is that I get some more dominant pieds and also some yellow cheeks...would it make sense to assume I could get a green pied out of the second pair?

Without seeing the pairs I'm not 100% sure if you are correct in the color mutations but with your explanation here is my guess.

The first pair will have...
All blue chicks, some single factor violets, about half yellow face and all normals.

The second pari will have...
All green chicks unless the female is split for blue, about half yellow face, about half dominant pied half normals.

Good luck

There are 3 types of visual violets: ddVV, DdVv, and the darkest, DdVV.

A ddVV violet and a sky blue (ddvv) will give: 100% ddVv (violet sky)
A DdVv violet and a ddvv will give: 25% ddvv (sky blue), 25% ddVv (violet sky), 25% Ddvv (cobalt), 25% DdVv (violet)
A DdVV violet and a ddvv will give: 50% ddVv (violet sky) and 50% DdVv (violet)
