Budgie arts and crafts!

Here again! To help try and save up for my future baby budgie, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in these little clay budgies.

With a trip to an arts and crafts store I could probably even turn them into keychains, or necklaces! ^^

This one isn't finished, of course, but here's an example!

That's adorable! Is that polymer clay?
Yep! It's called Super Sculpey! :)
I would love one, but I unfortunately need to save all the money I can for my budgies and dogs :) What colors are you thinking about using?
That's understandable! I'm probably gonna paint this one I'm working on like a lacewing budgie because I'm quite fond of them.

I was thinking I could make little custom keychains or necklaces designed after peoples birds if anyone was interested! ^^

How much do you think they would be? I'm curious :)

From sculpting to baking to sanding and priming it's taken me about an hour and a half. I imagine after the primer is done drying it'll be another 30 mins to an hour of painting before I'm all finished!
So with around two hours of work in total, would $15-$20 (depending on how complex a bird's colors/markings/etc are.) be okay?

It's my first time doing anything like this so I'm not sure.
That sounds fair. Like I said, I would buy a couple if I had the money to spare. If you're still making them in the summer, I might be able to buy a couple then :)

Awesome! :D I'll still probably be making them in the summer even after I get my budgie baby. So long as people show interest in them!

What a neat idea and very clever. Would love to see the finished product. I would get you to make one for me if we could work out postage etc.

Not entirely sure. Hoping to get a baby budgie from Lindsey sometime in the spring. I've sent in an application for one of her babies, I'm just waiting to hear back to see if it's possible! ^^

If it's not possible, I have some other options as well. :) So, we shall see!

Ah! Thank you! :) I'm currently waiting for the primer to dry. I accidentally messed up the primer twice so it now has three coats of primer. Then I'll probably have to sand it again. Whoops.

I have been trying to figure out how much shipping would be but my internet is not cooperating. x0x
I do a lot of sculpted also ... If you put them on the etsy site you could compare prices others do them for and the shipping ect

Also you should try doing some of that face painting art your so good at on paper or canvas - like I said I would love to buy one from you! They are too adorable!

Mm! I'll have to try and look at Etsy. I used up all the bandwidth for the internet so it's going dial up slow. Kind of unbearable. XD

Sorry I wasn't able to finish the tiny budgie yesterday. I ended up developing a 100.4 degree fever so all I ended up doing was curl up in my bathrobe and sleep.
