Hi I have four budgies and I regularly give them green veggies but had no luck in making them eat fruits. They only eat things which are green. I tried giving them banana, carrot but they just don't eat them. I even tried giving them banana with seeds sprinkled on top but again they wont eat it. Any suggestions on how to diversify their diet??

As you may know, getting budgies to eat vegetables and fruits is very important. They live longer, happier, healthier lives when having a balanced diet. When I got my 2 budgies, they were total seed junkies. Couldn't even get them to look at a vegetable. But I managed to get them to eat one...

I have a question! If they are eating veggies, do they really need to eat fruit? I had thought fruit was a treat basically.

It's just to bring variety in their diet. Fruits may have nutrients the veggies may not have....
