Is anyone able to help please, just wondering have I set up Ollie and Rios cage ok? not sure if there are too many toys and also should I have perches lower down, any ideas would be welcome. They never use the cage water feeders they drink from the bath but as long as they have fresh water I guess it doesn't matter! Also any ideas of their age,? I got them together but breeder was a bit vague! And said they were a couple of mi ths (picked them up in February) They have lovely characters and are so sweet, they chatter nonstop .

That setup looks good, thanks for the heads up about the tassels on the toys and perches, that would have been my first comment ;)

As for rope perches my girl used one for a long time too and they are very versatile, just make sure to keep an eye on your budgies and make sure they don't chew them (some never do).

Only thing I would suggest is maybe one or two varying diameter perches in the middle area of the cage? It looks a little empty, even one more would still let them fly through there but also have another place to sit and vantage point. A long climbable wooden toy in the middle of the cage might be a good idea too if they generally prefer to climb rather than fly around their cage.

I agree with the other comments, I'd also recommend getting some more shreddable toys (budgies love them) and foraging toys opposed to plastic.
I can also see there is a plastic ladder with a mirror on, I would recommend taking that out because mirrors can make some budgies hormonal and aggressive.
I can see a dowel perch near the top of the cage, if you need to use dowel I would recommend swapping this perch with a more natural perch and putting the dowel perches near the bottom. Dowel perches are not the best for budgies feet because they can cause bumble foot, pressure sores and even arthritis because they keep the budgies feet in the same place all the time Budgies spend a lot of the time near the top of their cage because they are prey animals and would spend more time on the top perch.
Last thing I'd recommend is getting stainless steel bowls, this is because the plastic bowls will attract more bacteria than the stainless steel.

The above poster is correct, I did notice you have one or two natural wood perches in there but more is definitely better and it's best to replace all dowel perches altogether when you get a chance as its much better for their feet. Plastic food and water bowls (especially the water bowl) will have to be scrubbed every day to prevent the growth of any bacteria, but if you're willing to do this then they can be used while you look for stainless steel (I also use stainless steel bowls and find them to be better, just make sure they aren't too deep).

I didn't notice the mirror in the cage, but the above poster is totally right. Budgies, whether single or in pairs or groups, should never have mirrors, as it can lead to obsessive or aggressive behaviors.

Thank you all for some insight there I am aware of dowel perches but cannot find any longer wood perches, the pet shops in UK do not cater for birds very limited stock for some reason and not one shop can help me with pellets, I've looked on amazon and there are some bad reviews it's quite confusing.
The ladder with mirror is gone! Foraging toys they are not bothered with the one they have, do I need to put food in it for them to "forage" if so ideas please. Otherwise I have 2 happy boys. Thank you for all your help. X

Without reading all of the above comments, I believe it is important to arrange the perches so that they do not interfere with flight inside the cage, especially if the birds’ time outside the cage is limited. My two budgies have lots of toys and perches in their large cage but none of them interfere with movement inside the cage: they can fly from one end to the other and all the toys are suspended along the sides of the cage, not in the middle. It is important to remember that budgies move horizontally, not vertically and prefer their perches higher up as they feel safer this way.
