I dont think Dilute and Recessive pied are related so I think so.

But id wait till Nev or Dean :)

Yep. A single budgie can be a veritable hodge podge concocted of surprisingly numerous varieties/mutations. This includes recessive dilutes, or dilutes split recessive.

Very interesting, Dean. I though a dilute split for recessive pied would look recessive pied.

I guess I have a lot to learn about genetics ... :p

If normal **** bird split for RP mates with dilute, and chicks are RP, does hen have to be split for RP? Or can hen simply have no split and ****'s RP contribution dominates hen's dilute contribution. :p

Both parents must be RP or split RP to have any RP chicks.
