hey all! Long time no see. I've been forgetful to talk on the forums but will try to share more later :)

For now, I have a quick question. Yuki has a crop infection, diagnosed today by the avian vet. He's got medication and a treatment plan. He's doing fine since I caught it in a very early stage (still eating, drinking normally, stool is normal; he's just not himself and was vomiting hence why I took him into the vet).

His partner Momo is sooooo so affectionate and regurgitates to Yuki every day multiple times a day. He just did it now and fed Yuki. I asked the vet if it was likely to pass on and she said no, which is good! But I wanted to ask other budgie owners if they have ever seen a crop infection go around a flock? Is it possible/has it happened to your flock before? I'm just keeping a close careful eye on them since they are so intimate with each other and Momo loves to feed Yuki all the time.

Here's a pic of my little guys from a few weeks ago! Momo is the blue one and Yuki is the white/gray one.

I have treated numerous birds for crop infections and I have not had it passed to others, although it might be possible depending on how much goop is swapped between beaks.
Thank you!

Momo feeds him a lot. And there's usually a lot of saliva involved (ew, haha)—so I am being extra vigilant and watching Momo closely. He's had no symptoms or behavioral changes at all for weeks while Yuki was acting oddest.
